Watch and Listen to this 925hp Mini Cooper Tackle Pikes Peak
We are just a few short months away from the annual Pikes Peak International Hillclimb. And that means you’ll start to see a lot more videos of super lightweight, high horsepower cars testing and tuning in order to run the fastest time possible. Because Pikes Peak is approximately a “mile high” in regards to altitude, the cars that compete in the unlimited class are usually turbo boosted to the max to compensate for the loss of power that you’d find with a naturally aspirated engine. That means they are wicked fast and sound incredible in the process.
Take this Mini Cooper, for example, it has a twin turbo V6 from a Nissan GTR which is normally good for at least 565hp. Which in a tiny car like the Mini is more than enough power. But this is Pikes Peak, so why have “enough” power when you can have “excessive” power, so it’s been souped up to produce a total of 925hp! Imagine how fun it would be to pilot this fiery little hatchback!
